APPLICATION NOTES
  • Application Requirements : Multiple entry to Taiwan at least 3 times in the past 12 months when you apply the certificate.
   
  • How to apply : Online application only.

(https://niaspeedy.immigration.gov.tw/nia_freq/) When you fill out the application, it will be verified immediately. Then the Speedy Immigration Inspection Certificate can be downloaded (PDF form) if successful. Please save and print the form if needed.
  • How to use:
I.  For foreign travelers, please bring your passport, VISA (if needed) and the Speedy Immigration Inspection Certificate to complete customs clearance procedure through speedy inspection counter.
II. For travelers of Hong Kong and Macau, please bring your passport, Entry permit, and the Speedy Immigration Inspection Certificate to complete customs clearance procedure through speedy inspection counter.
Note: The speedy inspection counter is the counter next to the official counter or the official counter in each Airport.
  • How to fill out the application for Speedy Immigration Inspection Certificate:
I.  Please fill in the information of each field indicated.
II.  For more details about the form, please read the description below.
① You could fill in the address, cell phone number and telephone number in your country, or your contact information in Taiwan.
   
② Please fill in your valid passport number.(If passports for Macau residents’ are issued by Portugal, please fill in Portugal, instead of Macau, in this field.)
 
③ Please fill in the identify card number given by your own country. For example, the American passengers could fill in Social Security Number, and Japanese passengers could fill in the driving license number.
 
④ Passenger coming from countries eligible for Visa-exempt entry: please choose Visa-Exempt for Visa Type and N/A for Visa Number.
Passenger coming from Hong Kong and Macau of mainland china: please choose one of the reasons in Visa Type and Permit Number in Visa Number.
 
⑤ Please fill in the recent 3 entry dates to Taiwan stamped in your passport/Visa instead of the date on the flight ticket or boarding date. If the recent 3 entry dates are both in your new and old passports, please choose "YES, I have used the other passport coming to Taiwan in past 12 months." and fill in your other/old passport number
   
⑥ These fields were filled in only for passengers coming from Hong Kong and Macau of mainland china.

Q1： What to do when messages of error code 4901, 4902, 4907, 4904, 4906 appear?
A1：
CODE What is the problem and how to revise it.
4901 Probably some critical fields are filled incorrect, ex: passport number, nationality etc.
4902 The entry date is incorrect, please check the entry date field.
4907 You applied certificate once again after having applied certificate successfully. Please click “Retrieve and Print Previous Application” on the left side of the webpage and fill in information indicated. Then print your certificate.

4904 The date of birth is incorrect, please check the birthday field.
4906 The gender is incorrect, please check the gender field.

   
Q2： What to do if I could not retrieve or print after I filled in the application?
   
A2： Please enter the webpage of application and click “Retrieve and Print Previous Application” (Fig.1), and fill in the information indicated. Then click ”Print”(Fig.2) and retrieve your previous certificate.
Fields of Permit Number and Permit Expiration Date are for passengers coming from Hong Kong and Macau of mainland China only (Fig.2).
  If you could not reprint the certificate, it means there may be some incorrect information you have given when you are filling in the application.
The probable errors could be the wrong issuing country of passport, wrong expiration date of passport, or wrong date of birth.
Please contact us with e-mail tia@immigration.gov.tw, we will delete your pervious application and inform you to reapply the speedy inspection certificate again.
   
Q3： How to apply the certificate if the recent 3 entry dates indicated in my different passports?
   
A3： If the recent 3 entry dates indicated in your different passports, when you fill in the field of "Another passport", please choose "YES, I have used the other passport coming to Taiwan in past 12 months." and key in your other/old passport number.
   
   
Q4： What to do if I already have the certificate but I renewed my passport then?
   
A4： 1.If your old passport has at least 3 times in the past 12 months, you can apply the new Speedy Immigration Inspection Certificate with your new passport.
2.If your old passport has not at least 3 times in the past 12 months, please bring your old and new passport and speedy inspection certificate to speedy inspection counter to complete customs clearance procedure. After your both passports have total records of multiple entry at least 3 times to Taiwan in the past 12 months, you can apply the new Speedy Immigration Inspection Certificate with your new passport.
   
Q5： How to apply a new certificate if I have the valid certificate which is almost expired?
   
A5： We apologize that you could not apply a new certificate until your valid one is expired.
